What follows is a list of events and
activities being organized by our member businesses and
organizations.
OCTOBER 2008
Every Friday Night, Live music at
315 Martinis and Tapas. Our restaurant opens at
3:15 pm and serves a selection of the best of our many
catering menus as well as fun martinis, local wines, and
beers. We are located downtown in Coeur d’Alene, at 315
Wallace; thus the name, "315". Each night we have a
different theme, or promotion: For example: Tuesday
Night is “Group Therapy Night” with specials on our menus
for groups of three or more people. Wednesday Night is
“Chocolate Obsession Night”, featuring specials on our
chocolate desserts and drinks. Thursday Night is “Flight
Night” with samplings of three types of martinis, wines,
microbrews, and Tapas Friday Night is 315 Live! (music).
Every Friday night. Our guests sit on the spacious deck,
patios, and garden to listen to live music during the
summer. Our performers are sheltered by the Gazebo, the
focal point of the garden. During colder months, performers
will come indoors, of course! Please come and join us
for an evening of delicious food, drink and fun!
RDI Heating and Cooling partners
with Habitat for Humanity September 1st - October 31st.
RDI has set a goal to raise $1000 for Habitat
for Humanity. From September 1 through October 31, they will
be presenting Kootenai County homeowners with an incentive
to help them reach that goal. Every customer that receives a
furnace or heat pump maintenance from RDI will get a $20
discount on their fee when they donate $10 to Habitat for
Humanity. Schedule your furnace and heat pump
maintenance between September 1 and
October 31 and experience the difference RDI can make
in your home and in the future homes of those less
fortunate.

An exhibit of painted wood sculptures created by local
artists Allen and Mary Dee Dodge. On Tuesday, Sept. 30, a
gallery walk will take place with the artist at 10:30 a.m.,
followed by a slide lecture presentation at 1 p.m. in
Boswell Hall Room 102 and the opening reception from 5 to 7
p.m. in the gallery.
Thursday, October 2 , 5th Annual
Distinguished Humanities Lecture and Dinner featuring
National Public Radio Journalist Juan Williams. 7:00 p.m. at
The Coeur d'Alene Resort. General Tickets $45, Benefactor
Tickets $100. Seating is assigned to tables of eight. Early
reservations are recommended. Benefactor seats include
private reception with Mr. Williams before dinner and
close-in seating at the event. The Idaho Humanities
Council is bringing National Public Radio Correspondent and
acclaimed author Juan Williams to Coeur d'Alene for the 5th
Annual North Idaho Distinguished Humanities Lecture and
Dinner. The event includes dinner, lecture, question and
answer and book signing. A special reception for Benefactors
to meet with the author prior to the dinner will be held at
a private home. Williams' books will be available for sale
at the event.

of Starting a Business in Idaho? NIC Workforce

produced from various hairs such as deer and horse hair from
this internationally known brush maker and ceramic artist.

de Paul's National Homeless Awareness Week. During
Homelessness Week we will be having a breakfast soup
kitchen, food drives, blanket drives, an art show at Silver
Lake Mall, activities at the High Schools, a community
potluck and an Volunteer Appreciation Lunch to recognize
those churches, businesses, and individuals who support us
